BLACKPOOL BOARDGAMING GROUP
Meets on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays in Blackpool (private home), from 7:30pm.

What do we play...
...a variety of boardgames including Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Nexus Ops, St. Petersburg, Power Grid, Warcraft, Mare Nostrum, Wyatt Earp... and in fact any board or card game you can think of except Monopoly or Cleudo (well, maybe occasionally, once a year at the most)... Between us all we have over 300 games available, and we welcome more!

Monday nights: we usually do tend to play more serious/heavy games on a Monday night, with one player choosing all the games played for the evening, with the next person on the list choosing the following week.

Tuesday nights: we have a rota system in place on Tuesday whereby each player gets to choose a game, should there not be enough time for a longer game later in the evening the player whose turn it is choses a filler and then picks first the following week. You may choose any game no matter how long it takes to play.

Friday nights: same system as Monday, but a more relaxed evening, and alcohol! We normally play until the early hours...

Monthly: one Sunday a month we also meet from 2:00pm to play a longer game - Civilisation, Diplomacy, Twilight Imperium etc. which usually lasts until the early evening. If there's room just add your name to the list, as attendance is strictly on a first come first served basis; the list is planned in January each year. The only month we do not hold an event is October as some members go to Essen. During the summer months we usually have a barby as well, weather permitting, especially when we play Diplomacy.

Food and Drink: greasy food (crisps, cake, cheese etc) not to be consumed at the table please, and drinks to be kept away from the gaming area.
